Steven Godfrey of Split Zone Duo had a whole thing about that a few weeks back. He was talking to an ESPN insider who admitted the point of ESPN+ is just that: collect your monthly dues and charge over the top for the fight. They don’t give 2 shits about a Tuesday night MAC game or Saturday morning Championship soccer.
I believe it, and that’s why I don’t blame anyone for pirating the fights on illegal streams.

So, due to pandemic stuff, I ended up with a one-way ticket LAS-OAK on JSX, and not wanting to let a JSX flight go to waste, I booked a cheap flight to Vegas for tomorrow morning, and will be taking the JSX flight back tomorrow night. I should be able to get to a sportsbook or poker room to watch about an hour into the early games, and I should only have to miss the last (probably useless) 30 minutes of SNF. Should be fun!
I also realized that today is the last weekend day I will be spending at home for the rest of the year, I better load up on stimulants

With Thanksgiving 5 days away guess it’s time to get preppin’. I started today by making a chicken stock for the gravy. Son in law smokes the turkey and you ain’t gonna get stock from that. I used legs and thighs which will make a lovely chicken salad for tomorrow.
The aroma of simmering stock with fresh rosemary, tarragon, sage and thyme was delightful.

Yum! My sister in law is hosting, so I’m just bringing rolls and something for dessert that isn’t pumpkin pie. I am making beef and barley soup for our dinner tonight, made the stock yesterday. It’s crazy good! It’s ready except for the leftover prime rib that’s going in last minute. The house smells sooogood!

I had a bunch of leftover beef bones from steaks and stuff in my freezer. Bulked it up with beef Better than Boullion, onion, celery, carrots, garlic and some fresh herbs(rosemary and thyme.) A couple of bay leaves Started with about 8 cups of water, cooked low and slow for about 4 hours yesterday. Removed the bones.Today I dumped in an 8 oz package of quick cook barley, boiled for about 20 minutes. I added 2 more cups of water because the barley sucked it right up. I have about a cup and a half, two cups of leftover prime rib that I chopped up, I’m going to reheat the broth and put the meat in for just a few minutes. It’s medium rare, don’t want it to get hammered.
That sounds so good!
Also a couple spoonfuls of tomato paste with the veggies.
