I was literally surrounded by women yesterday.
And it was fantastic.
Both daughters brought a charcuterie thing that was insane and then well fuck, I made bread and mac and cheese and we had smoked meats.
I’ve still got potatoes, homemade chicken stock, a head of roasted garlic and a goddamn cabinet full of cans of green beans, cream of mushroom soup and those dried onion things.
The fresh bread and mac and cheese delivered as promised.
The 5 women who surrounded me were eldest right, youngest right, eldest granddaughter, the Wahini and littlest right.
C’mon man? It was Thanksgiving!

Rocky II is on and while Rocky IV is my favorite Training Montage, Rocky II is a close second due to his training run to the Rocky Steps showing that he and by extension most of the kids in 1982 Philadelphia have either has the stamina to run more than one marathon and/or has teleportation powers.

The fight though loses points due to the fact that the Referee should’ve stopped the fight before they both fell because just as Rocky is throwing his last punches, Apollo was no longer capable of defending himself (a deadly foreshadowing if you will) and also when they both fell, the count should’ve been just for Apollo as Rocky’s falling was not due to Apollo hitting him; he fell down because of his momentum. By rule, Rocky’s falling would’ve been ruled a “slip” and the 10 count should’ve been just for Apollo.
But I’m thinking that the Rocky universe is run by different rules because the following fights results would’ve been different in the real world:
