Wumbo Wednesday With Weaselo: We’re Almost There!

Eight days to Opening Night! It’s a little strange that the last preseason week now gives almost two weeks before the season starts, because I guess isn’t the season still an extra week between preseason, season, and postseason. The important things:

Let’s see who got cut!

-Like the P*ts quarterbacks! Bailey Zappe and Malik Cunningham are cut which means The Legend of White Mac is the only QB on the roster.

–Still on the PUP List: Von Miller, who will miss the first 4 games of the season.

-Feel free to pen in Damar Hamlin for CPOY, as he made the 53-man roster. (He’s currently at -285.)

-The Packers attempted to trade for Jonathan Taylor. They still may want to trade for him although he is on the reserve-PUP list and will miss the first four games. (The trade deadline is October 31st.)

-Joe Burrow is not practicing, though Zac Taylor said it’s not for contract reasons.

-NFL-adjacent (because it’s JV), but ESPN is talking about how Deion Sanders hopes that the loosened transfer portal will pay dividends as people line up to play with “Coach Prime.” Basically, everyone transferred to Colorado from somewhere this past year because they don’t have to sit out a year, and also a whole bunch of students transferred out, as JV Footy becomes more properly JV.
