Hello, everyone.  Everything is still more than a bit shit, but I got to enjoy the schadenfreude of the Redshite filth blowing their lead and crashing out of the Shempions at mid-week.  So you get a cheer pic, which is also a complete sop to Mister Pickle (odds-on favoUrite to become the next Pope).

I also like that the new Prime Minister of The Canadia is a fellow Evertonian.  He’ll know how to look a challenge dead in the eye, and kick it straight in the bollocks.  Surely, that’s at least half the battle?

NC State is still looking for a hoopsball coach (men only, as the womenfolk are REALLY good), and we Wolven Sort all have McNeese State’s Will Wade on our hope chest.  His black hat/Johnny Cash showmanship would sell like hotcakes in West Raleigh.

Fuck Chuck Schumer.  This is a rare uprising that doesn’t threaten any ideological schisms – the centre-left, the Very Online left, shit, even The Bulwark centre-right types are all up in arms.  We don’t have much leverage, but where we DO have a little, we motherfucking expect a motherfucking FIGHT.

St. John’s is one of those programs whereby I’m stunned that they hadn’t won a Big East title since 1985. The amount of talent that comes out of the New York city (and environs) basketball scene is overwhelming and you can’t get a piece of that recruit-wise? That tells me that the school doesn’t value the program, not one bit.

You know who gets it right more often than not? Memphis. An underrated basketball hotbed that recruits its own and makes an effort to hire a high profile coach.

St. John’s got its swag back when it started listening to a billionaire alumnus who pushed for Pitino and apparently has donated about 1/2 of the $3.5-$4 million they’re paying out in NIL deals for basketball.

I think I managed to get out without taking that course. My “knowledge” is based on a friend of ours dying, (Mrs. Horatio found her; there was a lot of screaming during that phone call), and not leaving a will.

Eventually some cousins she didn’t like and hadn’t spoke to in years were discovered and they got everything.

Except her dog, which I took out of the house and gave to my mother, and her parrots, which we got together with a neighbor and took to a rescue operation in Rhode Island, which was filled with dozens of exotic birds and which may have been louder than a Motorhead concert.

Long story short, update your wills kids.

My mother-in-law also died without a will and we just took her car, gave it to my daughter, and told my wife’s sister to fuck off, she wasn’t the one who’d been picking up mortgage payments and groceries for the MiL in recent years.

In hindsight I’m not sure that was legal.

I saw it for the first time recently and wasn’t terribly impressed. My father explained that no one had seen a movie like that when it first came out. Broke a lot of ground, but if you’re used to seeing films where the cops aren’t exactly good guys, and that is filled with car chases, you won’t see what the big deal is.

It’s not a bad movie, by any means.
