In a word, tenuous. In three words, fuck that guy. In two words, fuck Wemby, because apparently headlocks are legal when you’ve been anointed by the league, and because another flagrant would be a game suspension for him.

All right refs, you’ve given them a game, it took you two tries. All we ask is to call it even. You know, not the largest free throw disparity in the Finals ever.

Anyway, game tonight. I will again be on the bandstand in Brooklyn. It’s the busiest of the busy seasons, and I am looking forward to not having to wear a suit tomorrow.

That’s why this is late, and under word count. And why no image, the service in here is awful. Someone can fill it in if they want, as here comes the children’s choir!

I will miss the entire game.

It’s been over an hour since I saw D’Aaron Fox do the dumbest thing I have ever seen in a Finals game in my life, and I am *still* quivering with rage. I don’t even really like the Spurs or hate the Knicks and I want to see someone throw Fox off a bridge. Got my car battery replaced, and hooray, it was just the battery and not the alternator, fuel pump, starter motor, or anything else way more expensive than the battery!

Walked about 4 miles from and to the garage, so it wasn’t weights but still got some exercise in

My HS auto shop teacher told us that 90% of the time, it’s the battery. In the 50 years since then I have found that to be pretty accurate, even with all the technology advances.

I know it’s anecdotal, but in all my years owning old cars (about 20 yrs not counting my time in Chicago) it’s only been the battery 50% of the time (and today brought that percentage up). I’ve had a combo of exceptionally good luck with batteries and exceptionally poor luck with all the other systems involved with starting a car!

For me, in the past recent memory, it’s been the battery 4 out of 5 times. The water pump made the other appearance (but notably didn’t effect start up, just the overheating bit).
