I can’t say that any of these games are that compelling to me. Will that stop me from eye-balling the hell out of these fixtures? You know the answer. What the hell else is there to do on a Sunday? Church? This isn’t the 1950’s when attendance was compulsory. No, the days of the bat-wielding Anti-Sin Squads bashing down your door and forcing you to eat all the pages of Genesis without a glass of water are long gone. So if we’re not headed to church, where are we headed? TO THE GAMES!
Cin/Jax: Here’s two teams with a bunch of 3’s and 4’s in their records. According to a certain advanced stat by the name of DVOA, (“Divided Villagers Over Alabama”) them Jags have an extraordinarily tough secondary. Thing is, they’re also in possession of a run D that has many of the attributes of a wet paper bag. Rb Mixon likes that whole “dead last in rushing yards allowed” thingy.
Den/Phi: Denver hasn’t won on the road and Philly hasn’t lost at home. There. [wipes hands] Done. I’m guessing newest Eagle Ajayi gets a handful of touches but that’s about it. Brock Lobster is going down, down, down. The Broncs qb situation is called The Big Muddy.
TB/NO: Five wins in a row vs. four losses in a row. Saints DC Dennis Allen righted a heretofore wonky D and now the hits just keep coming-over the course of the win streak they’ve given up an average of less than 160 yds. through the air. Rook cb Lattimore has been a lockdown beast, giving up a mere 6 catches for 75 yards so far this year.
Ind/Hou: The Texans answer to their owners verbal shenanigans last week was to gracelessly collapse against the Seahawks. Things get better in the form of the godawful Clippity Clops dropping by for a visit. There’s a new football movie being shopped around Hollywood these days, the working title is said to be “The Immortal Football Life of Frank Gore”.
Atl/Car: Qb’s Ryan and Cam are brothers in the struggle for more consistency in their overall play. They’ve gathered up 17 intercepts between them. Although both O’s are above average, much more was expected. The winner stays within a game of the Saints and the loser is mostly mired in the morass that is “they can make the playoffs if a, b, c, d and q happens”.
LAR/NYG: Most pundits would have swapped these records around had they been asked to predict how these teams would be halfway through. I guess that’s why they play the stupid games on the sked, eh? The Giants are a fat mess-how do you end up with a longer injury list after the bye week? The general consensus is that the stubborn McAdoo is way in over his head/has lost the locker room/will be shown the door at the end of the year. Meanwhile, under wonderboy McVay the Rammers have more than doubled their scoring average of 14 points last season.
Bal/Ten: The Black Sheep game of the one o’clock spot, both offenses are terrible to watch. The Titans need to hand the ball over to rb Henry-that kid is an explosive talent.
There’s work to be done, gents.
Hahaha. CBS cut away to Baltimore-Tennessee.
Rams:
RAM IT ALL DAY
So the Bengals Held which forced the Jags to Rough the Passer.
Only the Bengals…
A few weeks ago I advised you guys to grab Goff and stash him. Here’s Boy George!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmcA9LIIXWw
His vaunted Nein defense generated little playoff results during his tenure.
Another blood sacrifice on the altar of the Second Amendment here in South Texas, on the Lord’s Day and in the Lord’s House. 20 dead, 30 injured.
Ah, c’mon…
Yeah, I guess I shouldn’t have brought it up. I apologize for being Captain Bringdown. Back to the shitty games.
I’m not calling you out. Just…you guys can do something about this. Jeezuz.
What I do: sit at home and watch television or read, fondling my 1911 Colt in case a bad guy with a gun comes to the house.
As one of those European communist types, your gun control situation boggles me. We seem to avoid being oppressed by our (admittedly incompetent and corrupt) governments, without having to arm toddlers. I’m not some anti-gun type, I’ve fired and handled loads of firearms, but I don’t feel the need or want to carry one on a daily basis.
Europe you say? Can’t think of any oppressive governments there.
/We just give corporations all the power instead, so they can fuck people over financially instead of corporeally.
Hey, it’s too soon to use this tragedy to talk about gun control.
So instead, let’s talk about the Vegas shooting and gun control. Or Sandy Hook. Or Orlando. Or San Bernardino.
Oh, those were sooo long ago, it’s too late to talk about them now.
Now is not the time to talk about gun control, people.
Yes, because if you outlaw guns, than the criminals will respect the law and don’t get the guns.
Same tired bullshit.
What will they think of next, making murder illegal?
No. I just stated a potential flaw in the argument. I’m all for making guns hard to get, but outlawing guns outright isn’t the answer.
Your standard republican straw man bullshit doesn’t cut it. No one in the conversation said anything about a ban, yet here you are using a shifting fallacy as your “argument.”
The first words was “Another blood sacrifice on the altar of the Second Amendment”. The 2nd Amendment is about the right to keep and bear arms.
That’s how I came to that conclusion.
The toothpaste is out of the tube, nobody’s taking away any guns. The argument has been had and the gun nuts have won (full disclosure: gun owner here. not gun nut though). The rest of us just have to pay the price of these massacres, and hope that we’re never in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I know from your comments you’re smarter than this, which is why it drives me nuts to see you pretend this is just some abstract argument and use the most cliche of talking points to boot.
You’re probably aware of Australia’s gun control laws pass after a mass shooting in 1996 and you’re probably aware that it did reduce gun crime substantially. It did not take years to do even though it was neither cheap nor supported by everyone. But it made a tangible difference and you can’t pretend otherwise.
And no, I won’t accept that counterpoint that if we can’t prevent *all* gun deaths we shouldn’t take action to prevent any gun deaths because we don’t apply that stupid logic to fighting cancer, making driving safer, or combating any other deadly habit or event in society.
And no, I don’t accept the bulwark against tyranny horseshit either. Fighting gun control laws is much more about the ability of gun manufacturers to sell more and more guns and not any measure of liberty. (Look at the trumped up threat of antifa, which is necessary because you can’t use the president to scare people into buying guns anymore.) It’s baffling people don’t see the NRA is just the marketing arm of gun makers and pretend they give two shits about anyone’s liberty.
Now if you want to make some other arguments that it would be too hard to do what Australia did or that addressing the ubiquity of guns is only part of the gun violence problem, fine. It’s better than the incredibly stupid “only outlaws will have guns” line.
You’ve convinced me. Let’s also repeal the laws against murder and rape and theft, since criminals just break them anyway.
The Eagles are not fans of the expression “Don’t beat a dead horse”
The offense doesn’t exist, except for a fake Dallas game.
Bring back Jeff Fisher!
Wow. Merciless in Philly.
I thought Gosder played for Detroit?
Beat me to it.
He’s been out of Motown for a while.
The Giants might be pretty bad.
Rams having their way with the Giants fourthdary.
Landon Collins is playing like shiiiitttttt.
The one member of that secondary who has yet to be suspended. COINCIDENCE?!
Jaguars have a punter? Huh.
Bengals +6.5 could kill a yuuuge ticket for me.
Is there any greater feeling than thinking you’re out of coffee but then look in your cup and discover, Lo!, you’re not out of coffee?
Change “coffee” to “whisky”
How the FUCK is Mike Evans still in the game?
If they eject him they’ll have to remember which Mike Evans they ejected, and ain’t no ref got time for that
That will be a suspension for Mike Evans. Can’t believe he’s still in game, but at 3-30, matters little.
3:30? stupid clocks
Since it’s a fight between NFC south teams does it involve a lot of big punches that don’t actually do any damage?
FIGHT FIGHT
MOAR fight!!!!
Eli goes down easily.
His new “Eli Sneakers with Concrete Soles!” aren’t selling very well.
Aaron Rodgers: “Don’t use me for this joke, I’m not a pedophile!”
Kevin Spacey: “You rang?”
+1 unfinished season of House of Cards
The last time the Rams beat the Giants McAvoy was really young! People age over the years, sports fans!
You don’t know Highlander is based on a true story, smh.
If the Bengals were playing against a better team, they’d be down 45-7.
So much Ticky tack bullshit being called against both sides in Philly.
throw to Evan Engram, dickasses
Agreed.

The Nazis weren’t able to gain air superiority in Britain because Andy Reid was in charge of operations.
To be fair, London does have a vey large clock that befuddled Herr Reid
i knew those Philly fucks were bad news.
Trent Green continues to make excuses for Savage’s suckitude. Guess he recognizes a fellow traveler.
Hippo, did you lay any money on RAMMMMITTTT to win the NFC?
Goff and Wentz both having great days. How’s paxton lynch doing?
Bengals are going Full Bengal.
Line is 6.5 WILL THEY COVER???
In Western Canadia you would only get 2 games this morning if you didn’t pay for DAZN. Fuck you Goodell and your tv cronies.
“Hey guys, can we speed this game up? There’s the bi-monthly meeting for the New York chapter of the John Gacy society at 5:30, and I don’t want to be late.”
-Ben McAdoo
Ow! Bortles got thrown into an Air Conditioner.
Denver’s season (artist’s rendering)?
Bengals:

An ordinary day in Cleveland.
I remember in the late 90s there was a huge multi-player fight between the Bengals-Jaguars. I think we may be having another one before this game ends.
How many times has the word “chippy” been used?
I’m really not being super efficient about unpacking today. I think my goal is to clear enough stuff off the living room floor to be able to unroll the area rug
Maybe redzone guy should stop parroting marketing bullshit and show me more football
He gets a small cut of that salute to service money before it goes into the NFL’s slush fund. Don’t ruin it for him.
“I feel like I’m on a telethon, except instead of money, we’re counting words!”
But if you tweet enough times eventually they’ll raise enough to give a miniature american flag to every returning troop, and show all those selfish NFL player thugs what it’s really like to love the anthem, right?
I’m blooming the yeast and have my stand mixer ready. Phase 2 of insane homemade spaghetti dinner underway. Love homemade bread.
Reminder that Ajayi doesn’t know the Eagles playbook yet
This is….waaaayyyyy too many FG to overcome
Okay. The Bengals don’t have AJ Green. Thankfully, this doesn’t affect the Bengals gameplan at all.
Have fun Philly. The karma battery will be thrown your way soon.
Vishnu: [Overthrows Karma Battery. Battery accidentally hits Hollywood]
I expect it any minute in the form of a broken collarbone
Stinking Giants-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnEiObzAuEI
For various reasons I haven’t actually seen the Giants play this season. Are they really as shitty as everything seems to indicate?
HAHA. that’s good derp Giants.
Anybody want to trade for the Denver D?
/kicks cat
//begins shopping for a new defense

Thank you, Derphins
Afternoon lizard people. Apparently the Jets dancing became a meme. Nobody has put it to Guile’s Theme yet. This is an outrage, Internets!
Oh, so the D stands for Doctor.
…something…something….induced regeneration….
I don’t think his dick regenerates. I think it just keeps getting added to the existing one.
Resisting the urge to make inappropriate “bigger on the inside” joke….
You already made it………
I’m sure there were Jets fans at home telling the anthem protesters to go home and be family men.
Why did Ramsey get thrown out?
