NFL Nuggets:
- In a long, rambling, delusional & highly self-serving Instagram post, Dreamboat says he’ll be playing in 2020.
- For example:
“In both life and football, failure is inevitable. You don’t always win. You can, however, learn from that failure, pick yourself up with great enthusiasm, and place yourself in the arena again. And that’s right where you will find me. Because I know I still have more to prove.”
- Something to watch this weekend: Terrell Suggs is just four sacks off the all-time playoffs total.
- He has 12.5; Willie McGinest has 16.
- The story at PFT does note that sacks have only been an official stat since 1982, so there’s no listing for players like Joe Greene & Ray Nitschke.
- An interesting rumour: Jerry Jones only signed Mike McCarthy because Minnesota won their playoff game.
- He possibly really wanted Mike Zimmer, but figured that, after the upset of the Saints, he likely wouldn’t become available, so he signed McCarthy before another team made him an offer.
- Besides, while Beansie might have been willing to go, Mr. Winkles didn’t want to relocate.
- Another McCarthy-to-Dallas nugget is that now that he’s coaching the Cowboys, someone asked him about the Dez Bryant non-catch from the 2014 Divisional Round. His response?
- “It was a great catch, I’ll just say now, but it wasn’t then, technically.”

- The Hall of Fame Centennial Class was selected today. But not in time for me to include the results here.
- So, here’s the list we can all debate later tonight or tomorrow.
Finally, in case you have a spare few thousand to burn, Ticketmaster sent me a “Seahawks Fans!” update on the availability of seats for The Big Game©®™.

Hey, St. John’s came back from down 27 at the half! To lose by one. I think that happened last game too. They might want to remember that there’s a first half too.
Wait, I misread 87 as 67. Never mind, they got blown out.

Google has sent me an email. Google Maps Timeline, 2019. They’re showing me where I traveled last year. My trips up and down the east coast and out to California are fully documented.
First, that makes me a bit uncomfortable just in general. If the NSA finds me I’m screwed (that’s just a joke, the NSA loves me).
Second, google thinks I went to Chicago. I did not go to Chicago.
SO WHICH ONE OF YOU STOLE MY IDENTITY AND WENT TO CHICAGO?
(also, you missed a couple google)
((so if I do need to hide from NSA, I’ll go to those places I guess))
/turns phone off
//drives to Wyoming
DAMMIT I’VE SAID TOO MUCH.
I feel a little weird when I look up a place on the googly maps and it tells me I visited there 6 months or a year ago. It’s even weirder when I don’t remember ever having visited the place.
A few years back there was a bit of a kerfuffle when the NY Times printed some stories about how the NSA was listening to our phone calls and there was a great deal of hand-wringing about it. My father, who, as an Air Force communications officer, did a 4 year civilian-clothes tour at NSA at Ft Meade MD from 1966-1970, just laughed and said the NSA had been doing that shit since the early 60s or even earlier.
Yep. My HS girlfriend’s father was NSA at Ft. Meade. He said the same thing.
What really made me interested, though not particularly worried….
Last year I went online to book airfare to Maryland. And google immediately showed me tickets/itinerary already purchased by the former tWLS. Now she and I were not married and had only conversed about the travel plans by phone. Using different cards for purchase.
Don’t you mean Chi****?
Oooops?
I did. I stole your identity and attended lectures at the Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College. Then you went clog dancing and attended a temperance rally.
Hehehehe.
That does kinda sound like me.
Something to brighten your day.

Flyers drop five road games in the west, but beat the Caps at home and look good doing it
The NHL can be weird sometimes.
Doc mentioned at the end that flyers at home are #1 in the league in goals and goals against. Just a crazy disparity between home and away.
Flyers are the best team in the league at home, and lottery hopefuls the rest of the time
One of the interesting things about following the stock market, as I have been doing, is you see it do bizarre shit like go up as a result of the removal of tariffs that *should* have sent it down, but didn’t. So in other words it seems to do better as a result of tarriffs then elimination of tariffs than it would have done if none of that happened in the first place. The same thing seems to have happened with Iran tensions.
NERD!!!!! GET HIM!!!!
ah am a lib’rul, ah ain’t s’posed to noe how moneys works
Well, I mean, it does seem to defy logic that the market seems to react as though everything is good news – even bad news.

My grandfather referred to the stock market as TinkerbellLand, where if everybody thinks happy thoughts they can fly.

I really wished he had stayed with Winnipeg.
Also the (extremely) white kid being the star at G’town is making me giggle.
‘Member when U*NC was good at teh baxetballing?
It really fucks with the game planning when the athletes have to go to classes.
Coach, carrying these books is heavy.
Coach Fucktard loses at home to Pitt after throwing his players under the bus. Well done, shitmonkey!
I really hate that motherfucker. I hope he quits in like June to fuck the program over, too.
Also, BGR–Deacon Jones
There should be a riot if he doesn’t get in. See also Flores, Tom
Am I missing something here? He got into the Hall way back in 1980.
We’re referring to the fact sacks weren’t a stat before 1982.
Congratulations to Daniel Jones on the likely injury riddled (and disgruntled)team he’ll be working with next season:

I forgot NC State was playing until I read BGR’s intro just now. Looks like I missed the shitty parts?
Don’t worry, there will always be more shitty parts.
We are NC State.
It’s somewhat sobering when you see Ru Paul not in drag, and realize he’s more attractive IN drag.
SHUT UP I’M NOT GAY YOU’RE GAY!!!!
Why the downvote? It’s funny.
OK, before anyone else downvotes this….have you SEEN Ru Paul not in drag??????
He is not an attractive man.
You are correct. He’s not that good looking as a lady, either. There are much hotter trannies and ladyboys around. I guess they take hormones, though.
Jeezuz, guys.

So we went from trannies to trainies?
Also, locomotives should have better brakes.
Pitt up 6 vs. a UNC team that is extremely under-coached.
A 7 game series between WAS & PHI might have 50 goals scored.
That’s a bad thing?

Churchill was a jerk, but he was our kind of jerk.
Thing is, he was never, ever, gonna be their kind of jerk.
Hitler was a jerk.
Stalin was a jerk.
I’m sure that sounds more persuasive in the Original German.

Ken Anderson and Ken Riley still don’t make the extended cut.
The NFL Hall of Fame can go suck and blow a bowl of nitroglycerine.
Anthony Muñoz is the only Bengal that deserves to be in the Hall.
/ducks
No duh with Munoz. He’s proof that a great OT can upgrade an offense tenfold.
As for Anderson and Riley, I respectfully disagree with your opinion. Ken Anderson’s stats match up with several other QBs in the era where he played that are in the Hall of Fame. While he was unfortunately played in the same era as the 1970s Dolphins and 1970s Raiders which resulted in one-and-done playoff trips AND played in the same division as Team of the 70s and in the conversation for Best Dynasty 1970s Steelers which reduced the number of trips. He’s not a 1st Ballot Hall of Famer, but he should be in by now.
Ken Riley is a lesser known choice, but he’s worthy as well. He finished with 65 career interceptions, even after retiring in 1983 is still good for 5th most overall (equals Charles Woodson and has more than Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott, Darrell Green, and others). While his weakness is he doesn’t have a lot of return yards, so there is no pictures of him storing defensive touchdowns, he was still able to make those picks constantly, even making 8 picks in his last season at the age of 36. Plus, since he started football in 1969 before the numbering rules kicked in, he was able to do it all wearing the number 13.
Unfortunately, for both of them, they have two albatrosses that for the people who count prevent them from consideration. They played for Cincinnati and unlike Munoz wasn’t an greatest of all time player. Plus they didn’t win the Super Bowl and the only Super Bowl they did they were outplayed.

If some Viking fan paid almost $400 for Kyle Rudolph’s gloves just imagine what TAWMMY would pay for a pair of gloves signed by a masseuse in Florida.
Whatever. He said a charity. He’s a charity. He’s smarter than you are. Viking scum.
