They are. I’ve long thought they were a better option than electric.
I barely trust most Americans to fill their cars up with gasoline, them filling up a car with hydrogen is terrifying to me. I have personally seen someone drive off while the car was still being filled.
OK, granted, the human element is the weak point…
Although honestly, hydrogen is explosive, but burns out quickly. Gas just burns and burns.

I really believe electric cars are the bridge to hydrogen cars.
Planes are the bigger conundrum. There are design ideas floating around, but none of them are capable of duplicating existing jets.
I’m sure Brick will figure it out.
Bigger conundrum, smaller problem. Most planes are mass transit, yeah they’re burning fossil fuel, but still way more efficient per personmile
That’s not accurate, due to high-altitude emissions. Planes are much worse than is commonly thought, and considering the air travel industry is trying to double its numbers in the next decade or so, it’s a pressing problem.
