NFL Nuggets:
- Your Deshaun/Decrimebeat! update – the discovery process began today.
- Unfamiliar as I am with Texas civil law, I do know that this begins the process of each side officially investigating the evidence the other party has.
- Depositions are scheduled to begin in September.
- It is unclear whether there have been talks about settlements.
- This has been both confirmed & denied by members of various legal teams.

- **sigh** Aaron Rodgers didn’t attend Packers OTAs.
- Matt Lafleur said all the right things when asked:
- “[He’s] such an important part to our organization. We’re just going to continue to try to work through this and hopefully we can get him back in the building at some point.”
- Rodgers, before getting told off by Kenny Mayne on his last broadcast, took a veiled shot at the front office:
- “I love the coaching staff, love my teammates, love the fan base in Green Bay. Incredible 16 years. It’s just kind of about a philosophy and maybe forgetting that it is about the people that make the thing go. It’s about character, it’s about culture, it’s about doing things the right way.”

- Despite what I saw with my own eyes last season, Dak Prescott is participating in OTAs at Cowboys camp.
- He is still being held out of drills involving a pass rush to avoid the chance that a defender trips near him, but is otherwise running in all drills.
- “I wouldn’t say necessarily limited,” Prescott said. “I would just say we are being cautious. … I’m pretty much full-go.”

- New Cardinal JJ Watt has come up with a shoe to honour Pat Tillman, just in time for Memorial Day.
- He worked with Tillman’s widow on the design, called the JJ IV Valor.
- The shoe will be two different shades of grey — Trek and Boulder — and Rich Red. There will be a camouflage design on the heel as well as “PT40” inscriptions, a Pat Tillman Foundation sock liner, and a commemorative hangtag.
- Reebok will donate $10 to the Pat Tillman Foundation for each pair of shoes that is sold up to $10,000, and Watt will donate all of his personal proceeds from the shoe to the Pat Tillman Foundation.

I trust everyone else had a good Monday. I woke up to Lambeau yelping & WineWife losing her mind. So, to appease her, against my better (i.e.- Scottish) judgement we spent the day waiting two hours to get in to see an emergency vet,
only to be told after the expensive battery of tests that because we weren’t a regular patient we would need to see our vet in order to have the diagnosis confirmed & medication prescribed.
He is resting comfortably right now, because we were at least able to get some pain meds for him.
The problem is apparently an auto-immune disease called Masticatory muscle myositis, which is a fancy name for chronic jaw pain brought on by the Devil. Apparently, the dog’s immune system identifies the dog’s own muscle tissue as foreign and attacks it. Luckily, he can still eat, because the kibble we buy is small enough that he can hoover it down without chewing. But every time he wakes up & yawns, it sounds like someone is stabbing him right in my feelings and then the HVAC starts pumping cut onion fumes through the house. From what I made out from someone’s late-night not-at-all-crazy internet research, it looks like a 28-day regimen of steroids & antibiotics will be the prescribed course, and the hope that we caught it early enough.

That is a pretty solid sports lineup this evening. Pace/enjoy yourselves.
I’m going to bed, hopefully I won’t kill anything else today
The golf channel is airing the women’s ncaa golf tournament right now. 2 of my favorite things: college girls and golf.
I’m kidding! No one really likes golf.
Golf is an excuse to drink in public, and drink while operating a motor vehicle
First off, hope the pooch gets better.
Second off, I’m so disconnected from the NHL anymore i don’t know who to root against
Third. …………..
Bless you!
Ohtani just hit a 3 run HR with an exit velocity of 117 mph.
We have two of the best, most unique players EVER and no one gives s shit and we’re way below ,500 and at least it’s nice here.
Forget it Jake. It’s Baseball-town.
Hard to stay mad when the sun is shining! Is anyone else setting an alarm to see the super blood flower moon? Blood flower super moon? M O O N spells moon?

Good vibes towards Lambeau. I’ll light a proper candle, after I get through the old stock.
Given my acquiescence to the vet visit, that candle seems about right.

Sorry to hear about your doggo; I can relate a bit as I’m currently on semi-death watch with my super-arthritic chow mix. She can barely walk and it’s really good that I am around all the time with the WFH thing. I’ve told bosses that I’ll need some warning time if we have to go back to the office, as I will not be able to feel comfortable leaving her by herself all day and will have to have her put to sleep if we get called back in, but I don’t think that’s happening anytime soon. She falls down a lot and has a hard time dealing with stairs at all. I had my carpenter build helper steps at her egress and ingress points to and from the house. No pees or poohs in the house at this point. Anyway, good luck to Lambeau, sounds like there is at least a light at the end of the tunnel.
G&T #2 So good
I love a good Grunt and Tinkle too, but your second tonight already?
Sorry. doggy. I feel Dad owes you a 24oz. (fuck the metric system) steak.
Snoop sez get well soon Lambeau!
Hey brother Hoping for the best for yer beautiful doggo. They really are the goddamn best. Peace and love. Love, Fronkenshteen.
Hope your dog gets better agavehombreroberto.
Yes, all the best, spritzerfellabobbie
Mapplethorpe Leafs winning, that’s bad. Shea Weber losing, that’s good.
Needs MOAR injuries.
Holy fuckballs, they opened a shake shack mere blocks from me.
So much for that Aussie Rules shirt.
How much of the JJ Watt/Pat Tillman shoe proceeds goes to shooting your own teammates?
+1 bouquet of oopsie-daisies
5.56 to 7.62%?
It’s amazing how hard some people on twitter are working to insist that nothing is going to happen to members of the Trump cabal. Every time there’s a development that indicates investigations are moving forward (warrants issued, devices seized, grand juries empaneled) they say it means nothing and that there will never be any consequences. It’s really irritating.
Scene: interior of the RTD estate
The Dr. Mrs. RTD: “Honey, see who’s at the door.”
RTD: “By Your Command.”
I mean more along the lines of acting like they’re not a fan of the BLOAT, but then attempting to demoralize people as far as the criminal inquiries are concerned.

Thanks! I saw something about this on a poster in town, but I didn’t stop to read it. If I had taken the time to do so, the poor duck I just ran over would still be alive. I am a murderer! I didn’t see it until it was too late. Poor thing. I suck.
Didya make orange sauce for the duck?
I knew I could count on you guys to make me feel better!
How’s the Oktoberfest there? Worth the trip up the hill?
I have heard good things about it, but they didn’t have it last year, obviously. Apparently they get huge crowds for it, so it must be fun! I expect this year’s will be huge, so if you plan on coming you should make reservations early.
Take it easy: that duck would have done the same thing to you if it had the chance.
I think I’ve mentioned this before but-I live a whole 45 seconds away (walking distance) from an outside basketball court that I spent countless hours playing at as a kid. It’s been there for about 60(?) years.
/Early last week the town pulled all of the basket stanchions (six of them) out of the ground.
Me: “Son Of A Bitch! How could the town do this? This is-by far-the most popular place for kids to get together to play pickup ball. And has been for multiple decades. This is a travesty.”
/Driving by today I saw that the old metal backboards and stanchions were replaced with glass backboards
Me: “Son Of A Bitch! Why didn’t the town do this 30 years ago when I was still playing pickup ball? This is a fucking travesty!”
Anxiously awaits the “rash of missing persons” stories to start coming out of Canada…
That sucks! hoping for the best for Lambeau.
Personal llama drama must be going around. On top of other shit going in the Haus Sharkbait, I have a feeling I’m about to be put on waivers. Luckily I had a phone interview yesterday, a second video call Thursday, and another intro call next week
Solid planning strategy.
If I hadn’t agreed to the vet visit I feared being a casualty of the next round of home-based cost-cutting.
Here’s to bigger and better things!
I second the best wishes for lambeau
Thirded. Dogs are awesome(ly expensive at times)
But worth every penny!
