I don’t understand the reasoning why we’re blessed in this fashion but I’ll take it. By the by, we don’t get one next week but have some more staggered action in weeks 6 and 7 AND THEN…no more the rest of the way. Where’s the logic?
Fallout:
-He played, hoping his toe was in remission but no luck for Purdy. The Niners loss to Jax doesn’t make much sense outside the 4 turnovers the Jags forced. That’s not sustainable but they’re 3-1 with some unexpected wins in their bag and you never know how that can affect a team.
-Dublin Calling!: “I Live By The Liffey!” It wasn’t very good but it’s good to know that peer pressure still works, as most of the clubhouse showed up. We’re doing it all over again next week, monkeys.
-At a +40 point differential the Colts trail only Detroit and Buffalo. That’s heady company. It could have been more, hell they could be 4-0 but Adonai Mitchell. His teammates consoled him as though he made a mental error when he lost the touchdown. That’s just a dumb fuckup and as a team mate I’d be livid if he took points off the board because he was a dickbag-and I’d expect the same treatment if I did the same. I sound old.
-I guess the Bears offense is a work in progress but they’ll never get to the next level with D’Andre Swift as their primary rb. Yesterday featured a 2.7 avg on 14 carries for a dude that is on his third team in six years. His rushing totals so far-35, 33, 63 and 53. I feel like they’re 2-2 despite him. They give off a 6-11 vibe to me.
-Don’t look for the Ravens D to turn around any time soon. It’s confirmed that de Nnamdi Madubuike, who hasn’t played in the last two games, is done for the year. If you couple that with All Pro lb Roquan Smith sitting for a few weeks with a hammy, things don’t look good.
To The Games!
Jets/Fins:
-At least it’s a divisional tussle?
-this is a unique tilt in that both teams think it’s a “Get Well” game, a time to turn things around. I don’t want to seem overly dramatic but the season is over for the loser.
-Not sure if Tawmmy can handle this but I think the Pats are going to get a wild card berth because these guys suck so much and the Ravens are compromised.
-I’d list the spread but only the most degenerate would bet this disaster.
Bengals/Broncos:
-Cincy’s a team forever twirling sideways because there’s nothing in the center to pull it back.
-The Broncos 4th-quarter drives in their losses haven’t been pretty-a missed indoor 42-yard field goal, some three-and-outs, an INT-I trust that Payton will eventually get these fixed because they can’t fall to Vegas’ 1-3 level.
-Browning showed out the last time he filled in but as is the way with backup qb’s-they are an inconsistent bunch. He’s tossed 5 INT’s in the seven quarters he’s played this year.
-Not to crap on him some more but Jake threw all of two times to Higgins last week. Mike Brown didn’t pull 10 million extra dollars out of his tighty whiteys to sign Tee for this to happen.
It’s all you.
