It’s been a bit windy. And by “a bit,” I mean holy shit it’s felt like non-stop wind for the last, like, 2-3 weeks. Yesterday it was mid-30s temperature, but thanks to the 25 mph wins, it felt like 15°. Like, “Oh shit, do we want to go out in this to get lunch?” I mean, Senorita Weaselo and I did, but it was a trek and definitely meant red curry for me. Which was lovely, I’m a big fan of Thai red curry, even over green curry for flavor purposes.
And then I got curry katsu tonight from my favorite Japanese place as I was taken to dinner against my will since tomorrow’s my birthday! It’s also Maestro’s birthday, and he’s on Concertmaster Watch! (I have no idea what Lady Maestro’s actual due date is, but it would be hilarious and adorable if it were also tomorrow, and then we may have to alter little Brady’s name to Maestro, Jr. on principle of same day. But we’ll find out!)

College basketball (FS1 has Milwaukee vs. noted football powerhouse Indiana and then the battle of Nebraska, Creighton vs. Nebraska! ESPN2 has Toledo vs. Miami… Ohio. TruTV has the Fightin’ Rememberance of Sister Jeans vs. the Fightin’ Lowratios!
Hockey also has that more dastardly hockey team taking on Connor and… the Bedards. (NJ vs. CHI, 9:30, TNT)

6-3 loss at tennis tonight. My partner dragged us down but he was way too hard on himself about it. There were plenty of shots I could have put away without letting them extend the point (and plenty that I just plain missed). The important thing is that everybody had fun.
I’m a bit burnt out on cheesecake, it’s almost always too dense and I’m sick of it. It is absolutely possible to make light and fluffy cheesecake and we should raise our standards!
That being said, matcha would certainly go part of the way towards making up for being overly dense, and if it is fluffy AND matcha then that’s a winner.

I love most Indian & Thai curries, but find Japanese curry kinda meh.

In general, I’d say Thai red curry hits the sweet spot of heat and flavor for me. Japanese curry has the warmth of it even if not the spice.
