Yeah, I did not watch that speech. I had work to do (that I procrastinated on) and would consider gnawing each of my fingers off, one by one, before being subjected to that wankery in its entirety.
Anyway, before we get to the news, I’m gonna take a page out of Elmo’s book, and a page out of Senorita Weaselo reminding me that asking her a general question like this is totally fine, rather than getting hyper-specific immediately: How are you?
On my end, I’m… better than last week. Everything seems like it’ll turn out okay, but sometimes you just need time to connect with the people you love and remind them that you’re here for them, no matter what they’re going through. Good food also helps.
In the news, everything sucks. In football news:
–The Bears are trading a 4th rounder for the Chiefs’ 2x All-Pro G Joe Thuney. Interesting, considering the O-line was one of the biggest problems against the Eagles. Well, on the offensive side of the ball. On the defensive side it was just totally getting outfoxed and rolling snake eyes seemingly every single critical time.
Otherwise it’s a fallow time. The New League Year starts on March 12th, so expect some things to happen over the next week as we get closer to that timeframe. Such as:
-Bengals DE Sam Hubbard is retiring at the age of 29.
–Maxx Contact: Maxx Crosby’s getting paaaaaaid. 3 years, $106.5M, 91.5 of that guaranteed. Highest contract for a non-QB.
-Meanwhile, DAK! has restructured his contract so there’ll be some sort of cap relief for the N-GCP.
-On the other hand, DK Country may no longer be Seattle. DK Metcalf wants out and has requested a trade.
So, what’s on tonight?

This is what I love about AI.
That AI-generated “camera” is just a work of art on so many levels.
Plus that Asian kid doesn’t look right either.

Maybe I’m missing something, but none of yinz mentioned Mike Johnson’s DUI?
*Party of Law & Order*
It was his chief of staff though, so whatever. We know these idiots employ idiots.
Scientists created a ‘woolly mouse’ with mammoth traits. Is it a step toward bringing back the extinct giant?
I’m gonna go with a big ‘yes’ on making wooly mice
Or wooly mammoths. Who wouldn’t want to eat a delicious mammothburger?
What about Mammoth-sized mice?

Its better with undiagnosed ADD. You remember the first part of it, but not the thing that puts it all together. Its like CTE but without the millions of dollars.
I was just a simple class clown in 5th grade. No excuses… and certainly no apologies.
Found a funny:

I have never, in my whole entire life, watched a President’s speech. No matter which party the President belonged to.
I don’t understand the point. It’s all bullshit anyway.
Agreed.
But I’ll watch debates. Even though they’re pointless. Conflict!
It’s like watching the Browns play the Jets, unless you’re a big fan of one of the teams it’s painful to watch and easy enough to catch the highlights later if anything good happens
In about 2 months we’ll all gladly watch that game
If only US politics had an offseason

Piffle!
How am I? Workwise, like the cat from Flow. Lifewise, like the capybara from Flow.
So either way you’re adorable?
More like secretly yearning for a comfy chair. And ☺️
Players that valued their health over the money and checked out around the age of 29 (give or take two years) Doesn’t include those forced out because of a debilitating injury like a Robert Edwards or a Gayle Sayers though.
Barry Sanders
Patrick Willis
Andrew Luck
Luke Kuechly
Calvin Johnson
Boris Becker
Jim Brown
Robert Smith
Bjorn Borg
Bison Dele
Pelle Lindberg
If only Boris Becker had valued his freedom over the money, too.

I respect that.
I remember seeing an interview with Urlacher and him talking about playing through concussions and taking Toradol (even though its really hard on your liver and kidneys & can cause serious problems later in life) & him just saying “If I have to act like & don’t have a concussion or take Toradol to play football I’m going to take it. I am going to do whatever it takes to play football for as long as I can” & just remembering Iron Mike Webster & shaking my head…
NAWT FUNNY!
Hey it’s raining in Los Angeles!
“Brick Meathook is an unmitigated liar!”
-Albert Hammond
Drizzle in the desert, woohoo!
Been raining off and on here all day.
The lazy in me says better rain than more snow
Kudos to Hubbard getting out of the game before his health was completely compromised. I recently watched the 30 For 30 thingy about The New York Sack Exchange and aside from Salaam in the wheelchair, (he’s passed away since) Klecko limping and Gastineau’s bloated face…they looked great!
Marc Gastineau was an underrated wrassler.
Kid I knew’s dad was a linebacker on the Bears in the late 70s. Apparently he played almost a whole season with a cracked vertebra and they didn’t tell him until after the season ended
