This week, we had Gather Round, which is where every team played in Adelaide at different venues. It was very interesting to watch on TV. Let’s go!

Notes and Comments
You would think that both Adelaide teams would take advantage of Gather Round being IN Adelaide and win, but that’s not what happened. The Crows did their bit, beating Carlton impressively to start the Round, but Port Adelaide succumbed to the St. Kilda Saints in the last game of the Round.
West Coast got beat by the Cats but they are still not the worst team in the league. That honor goes to the Richmond Tigers, who got DESTROYED by GWS. It’s crazy that the Tigers were regularly in finals and winning Premierships not that long ago.
Essendon avoided being in the conversation for the worst team in the league by springing a mild upset over Melbourne. Not that the Demons are that good, but no way anyone saw the Bombers winning.
The biggest surprise slash upset of the week was Hawthorne beating the Western Bulldogs by 40. I could see maybe a close game but no way would I ever have guessed the Doggies would get beat that badly. They’ve been too good this year for that.
Finally, the statement of the week was made in the Game of the Week between Sydney v Gold Coast. Sydney are for real y’all. They easily handled Gold Coast and are looking really good.
Spammy decided to stop fucking around and got an impressive 8 out of 9 correct this week, which vaults him into a tie for first place and ahead on tiebreaker. Congrats to Litre for also getting 8. Don’t forget to put the tips in!
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.
See you next week!
