The Saints are being sued by a season-ticket holder over national anthem protests (CBSSports.com)

A man in Louisiana has filed a lawsuit against the Saints seeking a refund of his season tickets because he’s mad at the team for protesting during the national anthem.

The man who filed the lawsuit, Lee Dragna, says that he would never have bought the tickets if he had know that Saints were going to use “football games as a platform for protests,” according to a copy of the lawsuit, which was obtained by ESPN.com.

Players have been protesting police brutality and racial injustice by kneeling for the national anthem.

Dragna is seeking to get a refund on his tickets and to have the Saints pay his attorney fees. The fan says he stopped attending Saints games after Week 2, when he claims to have witnessed several players stay in the locker room during the national anthem.

“They passed directly in front of where the petitioner and his guests were seated. Many of the fans in that area booed and cursed at the Saints players,” the lawsuit states, via the New Orleans Advocate.

Dragna might have a tough time winning the lawsuit because there has been no evidence to suggest that the Saints have protested the national anthem during a single home game this season, a fact that was pointed out by running back Mark Ingram on Twitter.

Thanks Seamus. That NYT article is accurate. The vast majority of us are at day 84 without electricity. “Late February” is the benchmark now for most of PR having electricity. 200,000 confirmed have left for Florida. Can’t tell you how much I appreciated this post. Love ya, man.

The Casa Pueblo folks in the second link are righteous folks that do great work. They are environmentalists who promote self-sustaining, community projects. They’ve given out thousands of solar lamps, plus food and supplies. I volunteered once there in October and also donated.
And yeah, we’re a colony. Always been one; ownership changed in 1898. Nevertheless, a nation has been forming for over 500 years. I know a guy that works for the US government in Siberia. He works at one of those crazy weather research stations that the US and Russia run as a joint scientific project.

They don’t have the necessary resources to have a heated garage where they are at. So its something like every 120 days or so, they take all the packing crates from their last batch of supplies, smash them up, and pile them under their truck. They then light it on fire to heat up the truck otherwise they will never be able to get the fucking thing to turn over.

I’ve never heard of him mentioning tires freezing out of position. I’ve worked up in really cold areas, like that fucking port they have on the world’s most dangerous catch in Alaska (I had to do a crab crane) and I don’t remember that ever happening (though I had to be up there when the weather wasn’t fucking completely crazy).
