Those of you that watched AFL last night/ this morning know what I’m talking about. This Round there have been gigantic upsets, thrilling last- minute finishes, and a heartbreak or two.
Again, why are you not watching????
It is easy to stream on the Watch AFL app and then, if you have a handy dandy Chromecast device, you can watch it on your big screen.
So, what’s in the ole TV today?
Mexican soccer started its season last week and there are games almost all day.
It looks like Neymar will be a cheese-eating surrender monkey soon, but Barcelona has a plan to get one of their own to replace him. In the meantime, pre-season European soccer continues their US tour.
The entire soccer schedule for the US/Canada can be found here. Those guys running that website are great.
Baseball continues basedballing its way through the summer. It’s a good thing football will be here next week to take the attention away.
NASCAR rolls into the Poconos this weekend for the trucks race and the Monster Energy Cup series. The Xfinity series is in Iowa for some reason.
I myself plan to go work out in about ten minutes, grab a nice healthy delicious lunch, and then possibly take a nap in the afternoon. It’s good to be single. Maybe James Bond was on to something…
That’s my 200 words! Consider this post done and the thread OPEN!
[…] I alluded to in the Saturday morning Open Thread, this has been another crazy weekend in the AFL. There is lots to cover. Let’s get right […]
I’ve got access to a wonderful place on a lake yet I choose to stay here in my basement. This is the best tune I’ve come across in the coupla years.

As far as long form solos are concerned, I put that tune up there with “Sometimes I Feel So Uninspired” and a few others that I’m too tired to look for.
I saw that tour and wondered how the hell Knopfler was going to top the opening act that happened to be a relatively unknown Stevie Ray Vaughan. He managed to do it.
2 bottles of nitro porter exploded in my den while the saints gave the game away in the morning. Fucking glass and beer everywhere. Then the Saints stumblefuck to a last second loss.
Doing a win/place/show pool and all of the sudden you just like the 4 at 30-1 and it comes in.

Bro in-law: late Middle Ages was the pinnacle of civilization. The decline started with the Renaissance.

Make Europe Great Again
He may unknowingly have a point; we are tribalistic, ignorant, murdering fucks and at that time there was little pretense we were anything but, except for the church, which exemplified those qualities, yet pretended to be better.
goddamned Carlton still managed to lose, didn’t they?
Oh yeah. Wasn’t even close.
Just in case you didn’t know we are right in the midst of [Door Flies Open]’s 2nd anniversary.
I’ve managed to line up an interview with a special guest tomorrow.
Stay tuned!

Noted Bird Lawyer Charlie Kelly, who is suing us over recent site upgrades?
His name is Enrique and he’s assistant manager at the Jamba Juice in Torrance.
He’s responsible for cultivating and maintaining the small patch of wheat grass in the shop.
Kaep is a Jest?! Oh why not.
Are you getting paid by the word? Laid by the word?
Laid by the word would be really good.
That picture makes me yearn for the halcyon days of the Purple Parrots against the Blue Barracudas.
I never saw Legends of the Hidden Temple, but my all-twink flag football league did have a Mayan trip one summer!
