Seriously, it’s almost funny.  I woke up sick today.  Not sick enough to miss the pub crawl tomorrow.  But sick enough that I stayed in today and napped most of the day so that I wouldn’t HAVE to miss the pub crawl tomorrow.

Anyway, I have no idea what to talk about this week.

I’m in California this week, and I’m still exhausted from the actual traveling part.  I don’t do it well anymore I think.  And also was already exhausted from the coupla months before that at home and elsewhere.

But I am happy to be here.  Anywhoooooo…..

When I checked into the hotel on Wednesday, I just collapsed onto the bed.  Then slept most of the day and night.  And most of the day again yesterday.

Woke up yesterday afternoon in time to drive around a bit and explore the area briefly, then meet with BallsofSteelandFury  last night for dinner.  We had a nice time.

I think I’m going to go to the beach today.  Not sure yet.  It’s only 6:30amPDT here as I type this and I am far from fully awake.  But if I’m gonna be sick, I might as well do it at the beach.

And then again, it’s cloudy and windy out.  Plus they got a heated pool and an adjacent Jacuzzi here.  And I would not have to drive anywhere else today.  And thus I could day drink…. and also day smoke.

Hmmmmm….

Sometimes You’ll Eat Almost Anything

So as I’m typing this, I’m eating a horrible hotel continental breakfast.  Now when I say horrible, that’s actually kind of unfair.  One can’t expect a four star meal at an Express Hotel’s continental breakfast.  I get that.  And for what it is, it really isn’t all that terrible.

Problem is my sleep cycles are off and I woke up at 3amPDT in the morning (my body thought it was 6amEDT….stupid time zones).  And then surprise….  I got baked on legal weed.  Then couldn’t drive to get a decent breakfast.  So I guess I’m really mad at myself.  But the weed helps get past that.

Then I stood by while the overnight girl put the shitty breakfast out and…..sorry, it really wasn’t shitty.  Mostly.  The omelette actually wasn’t bad.  And I’m pretty sure they used real potatoes to make the hash browns.  Probably.

Anyway, I got a cheese omelette, some sausage, some bacon, what I think were real hash browns,  and a biscuit.  And some very pulpy orange juice.

I’ll try to do better tomorrow.
