-Trent Williams’ status is “Adamant” and that’s why teammates call him ‘Goody Two Shoes’ behind his back. His qb has said that he has a high ankle sprain and if that’s true I have no idea how he’ll be able to suit up.
-One must think that Cam Akers is on a short leash, having fumbled twice last week. He out-touched Michel by quite a bit but you just can’t be spilling the ball on the floor in this kind of tilt.
-As for his counterpart Mitchell, he was limited in practice on Thursday but I’ll bet that was just precautionary. And besides, it’s Deebo that the Rams have to worry about-he’ll be all over the field and if I had one bit of advice for Jalen it would be, “keep your head on a swivel, there’s plenty of pick plays (you know, legal interference) coming your way”.
-To me it’s a foregone conclusion that Kupp gets at least 100 and a score. The difference-maker in the passing game has to be OBJ-those shallow crossing routes he does so well can be turned into big gains quite easily as he seems to have his old acceleration back.
-San Franny has won 4 straight despite carrying an albatross around their neck by the name of Jimmy G. His nasty 2:6 TD/INT ratio during that time is embarrassing. As is the hypothetical, “What if Jimmy wins the Super Bowl? What will the Niners do next year?” C’mon, if the Niners somehow pull that off, Jimmy G will just be a passenger on the ride.
-The Rams o-line that had given up the 6th-most sacks during the regular season has surrendered but three in the playoffs. Reminder: Stafford is a beast while playing in a clean pocket.
-The Rams have been rolling since early December but it hasn’t been all Stafford-to-Kupp. The D is only giving up an average of 18.4 points per game during that time.
