So long as you’re just collecting stuff and are not being a moron about it, you should be able to get (within reason) as much as you can safely own. That said, I’d also (despite being more of a fan of bigger stuff than guns) add to the licensing process regular psych checkups* and (within reason) surprise inspections by local law enforcement to confirm that what one has is a proper hobby** that’s not a danger to oneself and others and not a mood setting highlight reel, before an in-depth report on how things ended with “and then, he/she/they/none of the above turned the gun on themselves”.
*I’m not sure how it’s stands stateside, but here professional drivers (of lorries and buses) have to do those too, since just like a gun – a big-ass vehicle is a danger to a lot of people in the wrong hands.
** Basically, the difference between someone like Otias from C&R that collects and shows historically significant firearms versus Bubba with his 55 identical AR-pattern rifles.

I agree, that’s why I elaborated. Now, someone having one of several related fireams based on the same platform like the AR or AK (ie I’ve got a short, long and basically DMR AK in my collection,) is fine in my book, but having a stack of identical ones is … odd (and should be monitored for any actual sign of ill intent, in which case the government has the duty to react decisively). Same goes with my main hobby – I understand that collecting surplus military vehicles is odd, so I don’t mind the government paying more attention to me than to normal people, since in their eyes I’m a bigger threat.
I believe it is all a great bell curve, with both the far-left and the far-right being the problem. They are the exact same thing, and feed each other.

I’m not sure we even get those over here, plus I’m kinda used to the various Zyklon-B-flavoured Monsters and Red Bulls, plus use those (if I use ATGM terminology) as sustainers during the day (call it a can every 1-2 hours), whereas the initial booster’s in the form of about 2 litres of paint-stripper grade coffee (depending on the day – with or without some extra caffeine pills). This sort of liquid diet is fantastic when we do our surprise piss tests, because it never gets old when I hand in some neon-coloured sample XD

I don’t mean it in any kind of insulting way either; being the partner of a high-earning individual (and, notably, of the child-bearing gender) has unique demands that are both diverse and require a certain level of baseline understanding of finances that isn’t generally mastered in the American K-12 system (like school shooting drills).

This goes for books, music, movies….. everything, really since you never know when something may disappear into the ether, because a vendor died or even just stopped supporting your device (*cough* like older Kindles *cough*).
Slight clarification – older Kindles don’t allow for Kindle store access to buy new books, but sideloading and sending to Kindle work. I’ve heard other ebook readers are worse (ie some older Kobos), but I’ve been using Amazon’s devices exclusively (though not all exclusively with Amazon’s own marketplace). At any rate, I must reiterate – unless one has a local (and preferably de-DRM’d) copy of his digital purchases, then one doesn’t actually “own” them as they can disappear without warning (ie because a game you love’s no longer licensed to use a bit of music)
