Two more teams got eliminated, the AFLW is still unpredictable as fuck, and a certain DFO’er is probably still pissed. Let’s see what happened.

Notes and Comments
Dude. I watched the entire fourth quarter of that GWS-Brisbane Semi-Final. The Giants were winning yet Brisbane hung with them and kept scoring. Eventually, they took the lead. GWS couldn’t get the goal they need to take back the lead and they’re now out after leading almost the entire game.
This brought echoes of the Giants-Sydney game from last week. It was a winnable game for GWS yet they pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory. Brisbane plays Geelong next week at the MCG on what should be a great Preliminary Final
The Hawks were on a roll and faced a Port team that had just gotten embarrassed at home. It was a super tight game but Port prevailed. All the doubters from last week were silenced. Well, at least for a week as they now face Sydney in Sydney. That’s a tough task.
The AFLW got its second tie of the season with the Gold Coast-GWS game. That helped me with the tipping as everything else was completely wrong. It really is a very unpredictable season so far, which makes it super fun.
For some reason, the AFLW is running a compressed schedule this week where some teams have multiple games. The action started yesterday and will continue through the end of the week. I’ll have updates on all the games next week
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFLW game, including replays. Game times are similar to AFL game times though they seem to have more day games, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website.
Don’t forget to put the Footy Tips in! See you next week!
Is it me? Am I the certain DFOer? Because I was more depressed than pissed….
Yes, it was you.
How was I the only one to get a game right?
I recorded both games and avoiding finding out who won. Both were amazing.
I wish I could find a gif of Jakorian Bennett playing hot potato with a live ball so I could make a joke about he’s treating it like a Hezbollah pager.
Hezbolah really should have gone with T-Mobile.
Hot wet Shempions League action today!
Villa and Juventus up 2-nil in the early games, we get Lille-Sporting CP on CBSSN later.
Too bad there’s no good Irish teams, or Yeah Right could find his way into a riot. Maybe next time.
I don’t think you need to find an Irish sporting event to find a riot.
Coming back into Belfast from “Duh Nort” when we passed a town called Dunsilly which was mildly amusing then we passed a town called Killyrammer and I almost lost it.
It’s well past Pint Tirty.
Pint Tirty is on the west coast.
As opposed to “tint pirty” which is how a resident of Alabama describes his cousin’s new hair treatment.
I’ll have annuder.
Dis’ll by me turd pint!
Not sure I’d like a turd pint.
But I guess Irish people will drink anything.
“This is my sixteenth Guinness!”
“Pussy!”
Patton Oswalt used to be hilarious
I still like Patton, but I don’t think he disproves my theory that even a really great stand-up has no more than 3, maybe 4 good acts in them, the kind you can take on the road and get a Netflix deal out of, and then it’s all downhill or finding another line of work.
John Mullaney may prove this theory wrong.
John’s talk show was a dumpster fire. I refuse to watch nick Kroll so don’t know don’t care about those projects (they look wack anyway). And the last special was hit or miss.
But yeah. They just get old and lose steam. Louis is an exception solely because he’s just smarter than anyone else in comedy. But even then, the well is drying up.
Fair point bout Mullaney’s talk show. I could not get through the first episode.
At 4 minutes and 11 seconds, the GWS v Gold Coast game highlight reel is already twice as long as Bryce Young’s NFL highlight reel.
