Which is to say there are some days where I feel like I teach at Greendale. Days where nobody shows up to class are kinda like that, except they showed up to class at Greendale! You missed that one detail, Harmon. Though maybe that’s a post-pandemic thing. No, I know when I came on and there was thoughts about getting me an adjunct position in time, I was told that these sorts of things do happen sometimes.

I just wish it wasn’t quite literally everyone in my class not showing up some days.

On happier notes: The Brooklyn Nocturnes have clinched their first playoff spot in franchise history! PLAY THAT HOV. (The magic number to clinch the division is 1. A single Nocturnes win in their final series, or a New York loss in any of their final 4 games means the Nocturnes clinch the West.)

(Because nothing says West like Brooklyn, NY! …We have our reasons.)

Is there news? I mean the big one is coming from Indy. The important question, of course: How does this effect the Leafs’ Cup chances? Isn’t Philip Rivers CURRENTLY in the HoF running? As a semifinalist? The answer: Being signed to the practice squad has no effect on eligibility. HOWEVAH, if he is elevated to the active roster, the clock resets, whether he plays or not, and he would no longer be eligible until 5 years after the next time he is no longer on a roster/retires, which would be 2031.

Basketball? It’s all NBA Cup quarterfinals on Prime, and we all know the Thunder are going to win because they might seriously win 75 games. They’re 23-1 and the loss was a massive comeback by Portland where OKC ran out of gas on the back end of a back to back. And guys were hurt.

Hockey? One Original Six matchup (Rangers-Chi****) and a definitely not that (Kings-Ayo’s Kraken).

College, I presume? The kinds where someone shows up to class? Maybe?
