I’m going continue the bit with the lists. Tonight, I present to you a list of things I like that start with the letter T:
- Titties (obvio)
- Toreos (specifically, the structures)
- Touchdowns (which I’ll miss this year…)
- Trains
- Tushies
- Tacos
- Television (even if it’s now over Internet)
- Tantalizing (the adjective)
- Tee times
- Trips
- Themes
- The The
I could go on. However, I need to move on.

So, aside from THAT, what is there to talk about?
Golf Update
I played another tournament today. This one had a July 4th theme and we were forced to use only 4 clubs. In addition, the tees were spread out so we used 6 blue, 6 white, and 6 red. There was quite a bit strategy involved in figuring out what clubs would give me the best chance at scoring well. I decided to use a 3 wood, an 8 iron, a 48 degree wedge, and the putter. I’ll let you know how it goes…

Club World Cup Update
I was SHOCKED when I got home midweek and found out PSG beat Real Madrid by 4 to 0. My poor dad woke up early to watch that mess. I felt bad for him.
Your Final is tomorrow with PSG taking on Chelsea. I’m thinking Chelsea is getting Inter’ed.

Other Updates
I started my workout program and so far so good. I have been taking cold showers and, to my surprise, discovered that I actually like them! After a workout, it feels really good on the muscles.
Fantasy football magazines are starting to pop up at my local CVS. Does anyone use magazines or do you strictly use Internet sources when prepping for your drafts?
I am happy to report that I finished in the money at two of my recent tournaments! My handicap has taken a hit as my scores have been high, but at least I did better than the others!
In other news, I am cautiously optimistic about next year’s Steelers team. I don’t like the Aaron Rodgers signing but we are where we are. One thing I do like is Tomlin’s voodoo. I don’t know how the man does it, but he manages to squeeze wins out of teams that have no business winning. I see that pattern repeating next year.

In this space, I will tell you what I’m drinking as I type this post. Today’s drink is: ice cold milk.

One last thing:
Seriously, hat tip to Brocky:

Railroad photographer O. Winston Link and assistant George Thom. Link only photographed trains at night, using rigs containing hundreds of flash bulbs, because he could completely control the light.
Hi everybody!
Good tidings I bring. Well, not really.
Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins (Ohio State, as will soon be obvious) was arrested for domestic violence. Well on their way to the #1 pick in 2026!
To be fair that house was dressed provocatively
You can reach me at 1-800-DOCTORB
Don’t they have like nine other quarterbacks on their roster?
There is a dog nearby barking it’s damn head off. Doesn’t sound like a small, yappy dog either. It’s been going for a couple hours now. I bet whatever it is barking at is really boring.
WTF, unless woofing dog’s entire family is dead there is no good reason for this
At least this reminds me of a KBD song

I have found something worse than Emily in Paris. Its’ called Too Much. It is a steaming pile of dog shit. I will watch the whole mess of shit and then report back. Seriously, I want to murder every fucking person who is associated wit this.
Impressive! Can’t wait to hear more
God what a piece of absolute crap. Everyone in this series shoudl be beaten with a bag full of lead pipels
“From the Producers of Love Actually and Notting Hill…”
Yep, sounds about right. I’m disappointed in myself for not being the one to suggest this to you.
I like Notting Hill. Have seen the other one
And Twins!
/coors light music fades out
My new addiction is World War I, and the lead-up to it.
THIS HAS BEEN YOUR USELESS WCS FACT
It’s like being a Civil War buff, but for Europe and with fewer/different racists!
Oh do I have some news for you about the enthusiasm with which the various parties involved in the lead up to WWI engaged in ethnic cleansing.
/reads newspaper about current events
OK, so it’s not exactly “news,” per se…
The band Franz Ferdinand needs to be put in witness protection, just in case.
The original Franz sounded like a decent dude too, shame about the half-assedassassination
The least dickish in a House full of them.
/pops corn, settles in for trenchant discussion of the First Balkan War.
//Much like Godfather III, there was no Second Balkan War
We should discuss the Cod Wars sometime, not to be confused with the Codpiece Wars
I’m Team Iceland all the way.
Look up Dan Carlin’s Blueprint for Armageddon. It’s a great podcast on the war.
Can’t think of any better T words other than that first one on your list which has great influence on me.
I wish magazines were still available. I used to buy and read Outside magazine monthly, it had good health and fitness info along with vacation and fieldcraft/survival stuff. For years now the PX has stopped carrying books and magazines. Italian places still exist but are getting fewer and far between.
Here’s this evenings throwback chick.
I just recently bought myself a lifetime print subscription to 2600, I had stopped reading it (or anything in print) but am enjoying picking it up again
They say reading before sleep helps you get into the right state of mind, but reading on a device sorta messes you up.
Kindle is okay since it’s not blue light. Also nice I can just slide it under my pillow without having to sit up to turn a light off!
I refuse to read on a device. Paper or GTFO.
My cave is very comfortable, why do you ask?
Reading is… FUN… damental…
Little Regan grew up. Your mother still sucks cocks in Hell.
This may be of more than passing interest to a couple of you, who are apparently harboring adorable assassins.

How am I just learning about the Island Games now?
All sortsa shit goes on up those places that we don’t get to know about
Including, apparently, a whole lotta badminton.
Man I really hope Dems keep bringing up the Epstein files. he’s getting ratioed by his own supporters on his own website about it lmao
That seems Rockingggg
Every time Dems do an interview they should mention the Epstein files at least one time, no matter what the context
lol
Are they genuinely surprised that a man who nominated a pedophile to serve as his Attorney General is protecting other pedophiles?
Catching up on last nights open thread, I saw Brick was going hard on the PRR.
The best livery of the dumpster fire that was the Penn Central merger was obviously the New Haven.
Also excellent podcast on that disaster of a partnership:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBYDt1OgtxM&t=10997s&pp=ygURd3R5cCBwZW5uIGNlbnRyYWzSBwkJ2AkBhyohjO8%3D
Also the best pizza.
Facts.
Detroit has the best pizza.
That Arthur pic never gets old.
It really doesn’t. The sheer joy he shows in telling the story and his friend listening intently and beaming.
Just perfection.
For me it’s the way Arthur is eating ice cream and smiling happily as his friend, having finished his ice cream soda, tells the story of violating a girl with daddy issues 8 ways from Sunday.
Hey, Brick, you’re not still in DC are you?
He’s apparently in LA until the end of the month.
Well then nevermind. I’m at a bar down the road from one of his go to haunts so figured I’d throw up a flare before I bail on it.
Thanks anyway! I just flew back to L.A. to get my mail and go to a party tonight. I’m back in D.C. August 1st. If you’re around we can try to meet up then. I’m assuming you’re on Capitol Hill right now?
Yes but I’ll be back in Europe when you’re back here so….lulz
Shit like this is why I don’t send you beer any more.
I posted this last week but let’s take another look at it:

Again, reinforcing why I love France.
Living in Muff sounds pleasant.
/carrying over from a comment made in the last thread
Oh look, Canada’s mainstream media is finally starting to kinda, sorta get it!

!
You don’t know much about Americans if you post something 45 minutes long and expect us to watch it. You gotta dumb it down to about 14 seconds, and probably set a few things on fire, before we’re going to pay attention.
Ice Cold Milk Anecdote:
There was a time when I had the usual Canadian brekkie of eggs, toast, hash browns, sausages and bacon on a regular basis. Near the end I’d always ask the server for a glass of milk so that it would be super cold. After the last bite was done I’d wash it all down in one gulp with that cold milk. There’s nothing like it, folks.
Posted this on the previous thread, but moving over here.
I think the next creative idea for an international competition should involve at least 2 teams from each country made up entirely of people from regions in that country that hate each other. Even tiny Moldova could participate, with teams from both sides of the Dnieper!
This could be an “All United States” competition.
Easily, although I would hate to miss out on Paris v the entire rest of France, and Northern v Southern Italy would be fun too
Maybe we leave Israel out of this one…
Yeah, active wars are probably not within parameters. I’m not even willing to touch China/Taiwan
/Korean Peninsula flies open
Naw… that would just be a lot of shouting and frantic hand gestures.
Eurovision but with pairs, and the pairs hate each other.
Sign me up.
Austria-Hungary 1917
As I mentioned on the previous thread, I expect big things out of the Irish here.
Oh yeah, England is nawt winning this one either
