In my previous job, I would go outside with the boys on their smoke break just to shoot the shit. I didn’t smoke, but I would stand out there with them, rain or shine, to talk and decompress.

I miss that.

I really hope the spirit of the 80s comes back. It was, essentially, everything’s fucked, we are fucked, so we might as well have as much fun as we can.

We actually had a smoker’s lunchroom at work at my first full-time job in San Diego and I would join them in there pretty regularly. It didn’t bother me too much then but there’s no way I could stand it now.

We filled our tank at Costco today and the fancy gas was $6.15/gallon, if I’m remembering correctly. We didn’t really need gas but I figure it’s going to get way more expensive before it gets cheaper.

Cheap tickets are a very underrated aspect of your local teams sucking, although it only seems to work when they’ve sucked for a while. The Bears are gonna regress this year, but tickets are STILL gonna be super expensive, and the Niners may very well suck out loud and will also be pricy. Raiders seem to be an exception to the exception cuz they’ve been awful for ages and don’t have cheap tickets.

In other news, I have a waxing appt tomorrow and the confirmation email is WAY too excited about it. It’s nawt exactly something most people eagerly anticipate
