I was never a fan of the original three….and the next three just added to my view that George Lucas basically has no concept of story telling, script writing, or basic character development and all his success originally was due to the studio forcing creative control.

With the new people at the helm, I am somewhat interested, but unless they retcon a slew of shit…I can wait for it to come out on VHS.
I have always been in the Harlan Ellison camp, Star Wars is just a bad Western with lasers. The only move out of the original six with anything is Empire, and that’s only because Lawrence Kasdan was involved (even that movie is pretty shitty, overall, but it is the best of an admittedly poor lot). I’ll see the new one eventually, but I’m not all that excited about it.
What annoys the hell out of me is how Hayden Christensen is blamed for the last two films being terrible.

Carbon fiber and aluminum are the future.
Carbon fiber is still quite cost prohibitive (as least in construction) in many cases. We do cable reinforcing (cheap/old school) but I love FRPs but, man, no one seems to have any interest in anything over 20 years.
