[DFO] So Cal Meetup: The Bruery

Because we apparently cannot get enough of each other, the [DFO] So Cal branch will be sponsoring a field trip to one of the area’s finest brewers of beer, known simply as The Bruery. The Bruery has been featured twice in the Beer Barrel, and although I have not personally been able to visit this fine establishment, I have had a number of their exquisite, inebriating elixirs, such as the exceptional rye barrel aged Smoking Wood, a 14%er that put a smile on my face faster than any Moosemas Brew, and just last week, their seasonal 9 Ladies Dancing which, while not my favorite, was interesting in that it tasted like a tiramisu and coffee milk stout.

This get together is largely due to the fact that our semi-estranged, Aussieland living friend, WhyEaglesWhy has returned home to the area for the holidays and will likely be in dire need of alcohol for that exact reason. He has even mentioned that he will bringing some local brews to sample from “Down Und-ah”, as I hear they affectionately like to be referred to as.

So come join him, Son of Spam, ballsofsteelandfury, myself and possibly more(!), as DFO invades the Bruery, this Saturday, 12/17 at 2pm at their main tasting room in, uh, “beautiful” Placentia, CA.  Everyone be sure to save your receipts so that we can expense this all to DTZM, just in time for Xmas!
