You know how sometimes you don’t entirely know where you’re going with things? Well, tonight’s column is one of them. So let’s get to some things and see where we go. First off: No, I did not win the Powerball. Second:
Marble League Rolldown
The stories so far:
-The Streak is over! Team Galactic’s won TWO events, the first two. Galac-fifth? So far Galac-first as they… then have a goose-egg in the water race. Well, it was a moment.
-Holy shit, the Pinkies won an event. And even more holy shit, the Pinkies lead at the quarter pole, thanks to three medals.
-Quacky got unlucky in the heats behind Minty Swirl in the water race, but that’s racing sometimes. The Green Ducks will definitely take 7th so far after the host’s first event jitters.
-The highest placed former champion? That would be, thanks to their water race win, the O’rangers, currently in 3rd, 17 points back.
(So far the events have been: opening ceremonies/climbing; balancing; the 5m hurdles; and out today, the water race. The next event will be the 5m relay.)
Next up, since we no longer have Friday music, I figured I should get in on that. So since it’s a Marble League Rolldown, I found out they’ve actually been uploading the music recordings onto a separate channel. Like this redo of the Marbula One theme that was used this past season, since the inaugural season’s theme wasn’t actually done in-house.
(Next week we’ll have bands not written for marbles, but we’re on a bit of a crunch here.)

Welp. Back home after a brief trip stateside to see Mom. She is 86, feel last month breaking her hip. Rather then repair the DOC did replacement surgery. She came home after about 5 weeks of rehab the day I got there. The advances in medical care that we have seen in my lifetime are truly remarkable. I think she is getting around better now than before the fall. Simply amazing. Life is good my friends.

Treat it like a topping and not a main dish. Its not real chili; its Cincinnati chili. It won’t fill you up, but it can be used as an key ingredient.
Either top it with spaghetti and mild cheddar (onions and/or kidney beans optional (4-way and 5-way), garlic is an option if you’re feeling brave (6-way), or serve on top of a hot dog with shredded cheese (mustard and onions optional). You can serve with ketchup if you wish. If you wish to substitute a sausage dog instead, you may, but it may get a bit messy as the chili won’t have room to settle.
Another option is to make Cincinnati chili dip. Chili + Cream Cheese + Cheese. Cincinnati chili is thin as liquid, but when mixed with Cream Cheese and Cheese, it solidifies into a decent dip that can be used with nachos or potato chips.
If you wish to eat it solo, I recommend you treat it like a meat soup.
For all options above, oyster crackers and hot sauce are recommended, if you enjoy.
