-Desmond Ridder exited his game yesterday with a head ouchie, passed the concussion test and was held out of the game nevertheless. Coach Smith said that Ridder being sent to the bench had nothing to do with his poor play. Riiiight. Perhaps there’s a bruised ego involved.
-Kenny Pickett’s Ribs sounds like a fast-casual regional chain restaurant (I’ll have the 28oz ‘Disrespectful Tomahawk Chop’ please) but it’s an injury designation. Hopefully our Yinzer faithful aren’t on pins and needles waiting for the return of a guy who has topped out at 235 yards passing this year.
-It’s painful as a Giants fan to see them lose a winnable game twice but it is hilarious to then go online and read several yahoos call for the mid-season firing of…GM Joe Shoen?! The same Shoen that just traded a fading 29 yr. old DL Leonard Williams (and his 32 mil salary) for a 2nd and 5th draft pick. That’s some quality wheeling and dealing. Damn it. With a win yesterday the Giants would have been 3-5 which is acceptable given their sked.
-I think reasonable Cowboys fans can say for the first time in quite some time that this year’s version has a killer instinct. Aside from the close win vs the Chargers they’ve won games 40-0, 30-10, 38-3 and 43-2-. That’s some quality neck-stepping!

-Going back to last season the Raiders have failed to reach 20 points in 7 of their last 8. That’s fine if you’ve got a defense like the Browns but otherwise it’s a problem.
-And yet that D is doing some good things because you can’t throw long on them. They’ve yielded a league low 10 passes of 20+ yards so far.
