I will be headed to San Diego at the end of this week for some toodoo of my wife’s profession (health law). So, I am looking forward to legal weed, suggestions for best weedery? Is the GasLamp area still safe or zombie infested? Going to try and hit a Padres game if they are in town, but I doubt it (they aren’t) so what would be the best day to go to the Zoo? I have never been and would love to go.

Yes that’s common, redleg for general reference. Some units use specific callsigns. Our artillery battalion here uses “King 6” (CO’s callsign) due to the FA being referred to as the King of battle. But it’s given that redleg is the artillery.

All the MSNBC Middle East folk (I actually turned my teevee on today!) seemed to think the Ayatollah’s regime is in pretty weak shape, and that the “return strikes” were tepid/meant to de-escalate. My old man gut says Trump is going to luck out here, I 90-95% think that the shooting is done for the near-medium term.
Of course the return strikes were meant to de-escalate, just like when Iran gave Israel 24 hours notice and told them exactly what they were going to do when they launched a bunch of missiles a few months ago. As scary as it is, they’re the adults in the room right now. There’s no nuclear deal beyond “assurances” so there’s no reason for Israel to de-escalate for any length of time, they just want to restock their interceptors and then they’ll break the ceasefire just like they’ve done with Gaza
Trump accepted the “just for show” explanation from the military folk, too. I guess that part was the real surprise.
The real “payback” will come far enough down the line that Trump will pay no political price for it, BECAUSE DARKEST TIMELINE.

The Zoo is wonderful, and if you can avoid the weekend, it’s probably better. But it’s worth the trip regardless.
