I don’t know how to break this to you, but the stories about detention centers for innocent immigrant children were coming out before Trump even started running, and were appalling when they did. Anyone paying attention was appalled, and that shouldn’t be forgotten in the shadow of Trump turning ICE into his own personal SS. There’s a million ways Biden is better than Trump, but I’d hope the overton window hasn’t shifted so far into insanity that we’re longing for the days of more humane concentration camps.

I like Winchester! He was an improvement on Burns especially because he had good qualities. Burns was so all-around awful in every respect — it wasn’t enough to make him a tight-ass who didn’t get along with Pierce and Trapper, they had to make him a sniveling coward, a bigot of every kind, and even a lousy doctor — that he was unbelievable. He wasn’t even a good villain. And he was dragging down Houlihan with him.

So yeah, Charles all the way. But he was an arrogant SOB. That made him a useful foil for the lead characters without being a cardboard cutout.
