IT’S HERE! IT’S FINALLY HERE! Yeah, we already had The Masters (and you know my thoughts about Augusta National), and the PGA Championship was definitely a lot of fun, but, now it’s time for the greatest golf tournament of the year. It’s the 119th edition of the United States Open Championship, from historic and revered Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, CA.

I planned to have so much more for this, but, then Lord Stanley’s Cup had to go a Game Seven. Thank you, so very much, Street Louis, for preventing the FACKIN’ BAWSTAHN teams from having three titles at the same time. Drinks are on me, Interwebz Dad.

Anyway, this is the most democratic field in golf. Any single one of us shitdicks can go and try to qualify. It’s not easy, but, theoretically, it is possible. This time, we are at Pebble Beach. This is a golf course that doesn’t favor anyone. Literally, anyone in the field has a chance at this, provided the USGA doesn’t fuck it up.

I’m cracking a beer, and sitting down to watch. I hope you join me. This is our national championship, on a course that is legendary. Forget work. Let us enjoy!
