Evening folks. One of the greatest live shows I ever saw was The Cure in 1992 in Seattle. Amazing version of A Forest. Most of Disintegration. Inbetween Days with an amazing intro.
But at one point between songs Robert starts messing around on guitar playing the Hello, I Love You riff. From down the stage Simon leans over and shakes his head. “No, Robert.”
Audience chuckles. Robert visibly a bit sheepish. There will be no Hello, I Love You tonight.
Seen them twice in way different circumstances. Both shows were amazing. The show Balls and I live blogged at 2 am is still available on teh U tubez. It is phenomenal.

I saw that tour at the Long Beach Arena, 5th fucking row. I have no idea how I managed to score those tickets. Awesome show.
My favourite, though, was the Dodger Stadium show in support of Disintegration. They played for 3 hours. It was the best show I’ve ever seen.
