Adelaide looked really good again, this time against Essendon. They might be the most improved team in the competition.
Collingwood pulled off a good win on the road against the Doggies. They have a good solid base and I think they will go far this year. Definitely in the Eight and then who knows?
The Sydney Swans rebounded nicely from the rough start to the season. That was a huge win on the road against Fremantle. They rest this week but then they’ve got a stretch of games coming up where they could make up some ground.
The Geelong loss was not as big as Tom Stewart’s injury. Early indications are that it’s not that serious. However, the Cats have not fared well when Stewart is not in the lineup. They need him back and healthy.
Next week we get another 8 games as both Sydney and Collingwood are on bye. Geelong and Brisbane were supposed to also be on bye, but they are making up their game that was postponed due to Cyclone Arthur. Ironically, there is a TON of rain forecasted for game day in Brisbane.
Congratulations to Sharkbait for staying in first place in our Tipping Pool! I am anxiously awaiting the BFC Boots in the Ground post from his adventures Down Under.
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.

I just got my annual order of two new trimmers from Amazon, one for home and one for my traveling toiletries bag – did you know that a traveling toiletries bag is also called a “Dopp kit” – it’s crazy but true I’m serious google it right now – but what’s odd is that these trimmers used be endorsed on the packaging by none other than Brett Favre the famous Jets quarterback so I guess he’s fallen on hard times what with being a high school coach and then losing his nose hair trimmer endorsement deal man that’s gotta hurt but that’s okay I never really gave a shit who endorsed these things but I have to buy two new ones every year because they wear out and that’s okay they’re not expensive and probably cheaper now that Brett Favre is out of the picture and most people probably had no idea who Brett Favre even was but hey I’m just kicking back and I am high as a kite on prescription painkillers and I’m scanning old slides on my Epson V600 scanner that I rarely ever use but I’m going to make some high-end photo prints for my friend Deborah because her house burned down in the Palisades fire and she lost everything including all her photos so I’m going to make her some Kick Ass™ prints of herself and her two daughters that I took back in December 2004 on Ektachrome 200 rated at 640 then pulled 2 stops in processing that was shot with my dear old Leica M6 with a 50mm f/2 Summicron lens and I’ll have chrome prints made at a service bureau here in L.A. either Weldon or IconLA and they’re gonna be great but I’m not going to stop there I’m going back in my archives and re-scanning all sorts of shots so this should be a very exciting time for all of us but what I wanted to tell you was that Brett Favre lost his nose hair trimmer endorsement deal and also that a handful of Percocet pills pair nicely with a highball glass full of Jim Beam straight and also I’ve been using my digital dishwasher a lot lately considering I never used to use it at all.
