Golf Update
I’ve been playing A LOT! Last week, I played a two day tournament in Palm Springs and came in second in my flight. This weekend, I’m playing another two day tournament, this time on my home course. Then, I’ve got two matches scheduled during the week plus a tournament on Saturday and a Match Play on Sunday!

Stanley Cup Cocaine Update
The Oilers tied the series on Thursday night with a good ole STANLEY CUP COCAINE-worthy OT win in Florida. Tonight’s game is in Edmonton, so they could take an Al Michaels-esque YUUUUGE step towards winning the Cup with a win.
The Panthers, on the other hand, could just about win the series if they win tonight with Game Six in Florida. I think we know who we are all rooting for, right?

Other Updates
I was very happy to see earlier this week that there will be a sequel to Spaceballs. However, as Horatio correctly pointed out, Mel Brooks is pretty optimistic if he’s looking at releasing it in 2027. He’s like Eleventy!
Last week, I also found out that there will be a reboot of Scrubs and a reboot of King of the Hill with pretty much all of the original cast returning to both shows. The best comment I found in the Web was someone pointing out that Peggy’s feet looked smaller than in the original and wondering how that would be addressed in the show.
I am still reading Anima Rising and I’m enjoying it, but it’s been taking longer than the other books. I attribute this partly to me not having the time to sit down and read and partly to not wanting to finish the book and then have nothing to read from Christopher Moore for a few years until he finishes the book he’s working on. I will probably reread some…
In that vein, I may reread some Greek Mythology. I really enjoyed it when I was young and I want to re-acquaint myself with the stories and characters. Does anyone have a recommendation on any good collections/translations?
