This week, Rivalry Week kinda fizzled out as the good teams won and the bad teams lost. That means the Finals picture is clearer. Let’s get to it!

Notes and Comments
Port Adelaide, Sydney, and Carlton all lost, dealing a big blow to their Finals chances. You would think that playing against their main rivals would inspire them to put out their best effort, but you’d be wrong. Speaking about best effort, how about those Saints?!? That was an incredible comeback against Melbourne! Seriously, you need to see it:
Too bad the Saints are out of it. As for the teams still in contention, Sydney and Port both got blown out with only Carlton putting up a fight against Hawthorn. I’m ready to call them OUT of Finals contention.
That means we are left with 9 teams to fit into 8 spots with only four games left. Western will be playing for their Finals lives this week when they go up against GWS. If they lose, I think the Eight is set and the rest of the season is just practice for Finals.
The Essendon-Gold Coast game that hasn’t been made up yet will be crucial in determining the ORDER of the final Eight, though. I think they will play it during the bye week that takes place between the last Round and the start of Finals. No matter the outcome, Gold Coast will have one week less rest than everyone else.
Next week, we have two BIG games inside the Eight as #1 Collingwood take on a reeling Brisbane team at the MCG. With a loss, the Lions could drop off the top four and the Double Chance. Adelaide will host Hawthorn and could solidify their top four standing with a win.
The Tipping Pool is fierce! Everyone did really well this week. Shout-out to BFC for a perfect week of tipping! Sharky remains at the top with an excellent 8 of 9 performance.
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.
See you next week!

Sooooo . . . .
What ever happened to that tsunami?
It went around South America and wiped out Mar-a-Lago, thereby proving the existence of a loving and benevolent God.

Me: “Stupid clickbait.”
It’s been a hard day. I need some chamomile…
My SIL and I went to a winery in Temecula yesterday. Our server’s name was Serenity. Never change, California!
How was the wine, the wife thought about visiting there when we were in SD to see if the wines were any good.
Would tWBS have hit on her?
If she was under 35, yes.

Trey Hendrickson’s Hold Out is over!!! He’s Holding In but it still counts!
So AFL may have three games left in the season after the playoff teams have been all set?
Sounds like they’re ready to expand to a 19-game season.
“Oh, I wouldn’t even consider 19.” – Matt Gaetz, who pays to fuck children and was nominated to serve as Attorney General by fellow pedophile Donald Trump
Trying to talk myself into buying a $75 ticket and driving 90 minutes each way to stand outside in 91 degree heat to see the Drive-By Truckers.
I can tell I’m getting older, because there’s a hell of a lot of internal whining going on.
you lost me at “stand”
You can use their Adirondack chairs, or you can bring your own.
Also it’s at the Treehouse in Deerfield, MA, which has amazing beer, of which I could have 1-2 because I would be going solo and have to drive back myself.
Not looking great, although a friend did just see them in New Haven and said it was a solid show.
What else you gonna be doing that day?
Not driving 3 hours and standing outside in 90 degree heat?
This.
Otherwise not much.
Should have just gone to see Ben Folds. Like, he was playing in Simsbury. I don’t think you can rock the suburbs any harder than that.
(as I remember things Simsbury was more exurbs than suburbs but you get the point)
He’s apparently playing around here in May, so who in the family Weaselo do I nicely ask for tickets for Christmas?
Are you a fan? I like his music fine but he’s definitely not on my priority list for concerts – I just thought it was neat that he was basically playing in Horatio’s backyard.
At my age, you would need the full line up from Led Zeppelin, in their prime to get me to do something like that now.
I mean come on at this point does a game against Essendon really take more energy than walking out to get the mail or putting the garbage cans out?
Woohoo!
That comeback by the Saints was unreal. That is th cap in their season.
A Kim Kardashian of a game, if you will.
