Golf Update
I played Day One of the two-day championship for one of my clubs today. We play one course Saturday and a different one on Sunday. I shall report on progress in the comments.

Sports Update
Last week, we had Mexican soccer going against USA soccer and no one cared. The Hall of Fame Game was interesting for ten seconds and that was it. The off-field stuff can be summarized in one sentence: The Bengals and Cowboys keep fucking up.

Other Updates
I did my first weigh-in last week and I have lowered my body fat percentage from 25.4% to 24.1%. I’ve got two months to get to 20.4%
I am doing research for FF this year and I’ve decided that I will go for players in teams that know what the fuck they are doing. While it’s tempting to pick the only bright star in an otherwise shitty team (since the offense will go through them), you’re one injury away from disaster.
I forgot to do my Monthly Goals update! Nothing new to report as July was a quiet month. The two people I was trying to get rid of are still there.
In related news, I have figured out that I will be able to retire a few months earlier than I originally thought. Just three more years…

Also I ran out weed. Which is probably for the best because I’ve been overdoing it. So I’ve been checking out this kava scene. It does something — but it doesnt get me high as shit so I won’t be back.
I’m taking a break too. I was definitely overdoing it. I’m in an apartment now, so I can’t smoke on my patio. There’s a 9 hole golf course on the property, so I can walk out there, but I haven’t yet. It’s too hot during the day, and I get lazy at night.
I get that. And I’m sure as a woman who only watches Lifetime “missing women” marathons, I understand your apprehension to just go for a walk smoking a joint.
Also, Phoenix opened August by setting another daily heat record. I may be in the same boat as you in six days.
I don’t watch that stuff. I live in an over 55 community, the vast majority of men around here are old geezers I could easily beat the shit out of.

If you read the earlier thread. I did achieve ultimate dadness. I bought Deci a new (used) bike from a place that refurbishes them etc which gave Mrs. Cola a 2 hour break from us knuckleheads. Then brought the fam back to the bike shoppe where Deci donated his old one for another kid as that is what this place does. After that got fried chicken, a Banh Mi, and went to a brewery and sat in the sun drinking beer for 4 hours with a good friend.
Plus it’s a long weekend so today doesn’t count.
Looks like they’re doing the race track baseball game tomorrow. Let this weather pass.
