Balls’ AFL Beat Update!
I’ve been a bad Ballsy. Just been crazy busy and I haven’t gotten the AFL Beat posted on time for the last two weeks. I’ll try to do better, I swear.
In the meantime, here is an abbreviated update of where we are:
The Adelaide Crows won the AFLW Premiership over the Melbourne Demons in a close and well-played game. This is their third championship overall in the 6 year history of the competition.
Gillon McLachlan, the CEO of the AFL, announced that he is stepping down from his role at the end of the season. The competition is now on to see who replaces him. He’s been a great head of the AFL and whoever follows him will have gigantic shoes to fill (He’s about 6′ 6″)
Entering this weekend’s games, the Melbourne Demons are atop the ladder and are the only undefeated team. The Port Adelaide Power are the Wooden Spooners and are the only winless team left.
SonOfSpam won the AFLW Tipping Contest and is adding another Gently-Used Fleshlight to the Spam Household Mantle.

I tried a new method of cooking fries tonight. Cut the potatoes (a bit of a thicker, shorter cut), heated up a little bit of beef tallow in a cast iron pan, tossed the potatoes in just enough to get a good crisp, then scooped them up and finished in the convection oven at 450. Worked beautifully, and only using a little beef tallow made the cleanup infinitely easier.
I tried a new way too. I argued with idiot in the drive thru that my order was wrong. He and his coworker said they stuffed it all into one box and that it’s there. Okay, fine. I need to get home and use the bathroom. Get home and find they fucked it up. So I went back and said I was missing what I was missing, but got them to give me another order of fries to make up for it.
Pretty much the same thing.
I grooved to the potato stylings of Mr. Ore and Lady Ida. And some leftover Popeye’s chicken, cuz we’re fancy schmancy!
