This week, we found out that Hawthorn is really good, West Coast continues to be really bad, and St. Kilda probably doesn’t suck as much as they used to.

Notes and Comments
If it weren’t for Hawthorn, Adelaide would be at the top of the table. As it is, they will get there this week if they can beat the fourth-place Gold Coast Suns. That’s your Match of the Week this week.
What is up with Carlton and Melbourne? Not a single win between the two teams and we’re already in Week Four! The dropoff from last year has been significant.
The Essendon Bombers finally got their first win if the season against the Power while St. Kilda looked really good in beating up Richmond. The question for those two teams is whether they can keep that up.
Geelong played pretty well against the defending champs in Brisbane but eventually lost. As I mentioned before, the Cats have not fared well when Stewart is not in the lineup. He was a late scratch.
Next week we get another 8 games as both Hawthorn and Essendon are on bye. At some point it would be nice to get a full slate of games in.
Congratulations to Spammy for vaulting into a tie for first place in our Tipping Pool! We knew he wouldn’t stay down too long. It’s now up to the rest of us to knock him off the top spot.
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.
See you next week!
Time for an afternoon edition of RELEASE THE TRIDENTS!!!!

FOUR OUT OF FIVE DENTISTS AGREE THAT IT’S TOO EARLY TO BE STARTING BASEDBALL
Dude, it is so cold here. Clear day, roof closed, and I can see my breath.
Perfect weather to swing a wooden bat at a fast moving hard object.
Easier if the object is not moving.

Dearest Balls,
I say this every year. Mediocrity cometh for the Saints. That being said my best friend down there is a Richmond fan so huzzah!
Dearest Balls
Funny, that’s how I usually start my morning prayers.
Off topic here Balls but I think you need to know. This lady is the new look for Italian ladies foundation garments. And I can attest… She represents well… Talk about boner inducing commercials…
Oh, that’s spectacular!
That’s a solid foundation
I hope those straps are steel reinforced.

This song is clearly about a long lost lover returning home on her faithful donkey. Right?

This is from 1947, so my grandparents may have listened to it.
Oh look, a bottle of bleach. I wonder if I can finish it in one go?
Don’t be fooled! St Kilda always has a game or two where they look good but then they go right back to sucking.
Woo hoo! It always feels good to get the first win of the season. Ideally that happens in the first *game* of the season, but with how Essendon has looked so far I’m just happy to leave the prospect of a winless season in the rearview mirror.
“….and move that winless sesson prospect to the windshield!”

The wind in the first half of the GWS-Hawthorn game was crazy. I hope that’s not what it will be like in Tasmania once the new stadium is built.
The wind in Vegemite Stadium is gonna be wicked.
