Hawthorn against Adelaide must have been brutal to watch. Neither team scored 50 in the entire game. I was a little surprised the Hawks ended up winning but they do play well in Tassie.
The big surprise was the Giants beating the reigning champs in Brisbane. Maybe GWS is getting back into top form and maybe the Lions are going through a bad patch and maybe it’s a little of column A and a little of column B.
Geelong manhandled Essendon but that’s really just a function of how bad they’re playing and how many injuries they’ve had. I don’t think they’re almost a hundred points worse than the Cats, but I could be wrong.
It has to be really frustrating to be a Saints fan. That was an ass-beating they received at the hands of Western. And not the good kind. It’s really how either they show up and kick ass or they get their asses kicked.
Next week, we have four teams on bye: Adelaide, Hawthorn, Melbourne, and West Coast. The Eagles could use the time off to work on their golf game.
The Tipping Contest is probably the closest is ever been. Very good job to everyone for their performance this week and throughout the year!
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.

My SIL has an eye appointment that may take 3 hours, so I’m at Norm’s, about to have a ginourmous breakfast. Conveniently, it’s at Ontario Mills, so I can piss around here until she’s done. She has terrible eye problems, chances are she’ll end up blind. It sucks for her. We’re hoping they can do a surgery to stave it off for awhile, but it may not be possible.
We still have a few Norms around the South Bay. They do a rock solid steak and eggs.
Last time I was at Norm’s it was after I’d just lost a very expensive piece of equipment (just left it out on the sidewalk the night before, like a fucking idiot, and the following morning it was gone) and was gathering up the fortitude to inform my employers. I’ve always felt a little bad for associating that sense of dread with that restaurant, though it sounds like I’m not alone anymore.
