It’s an all-time top ten beer for me. Every single beer in the Bourbon County series is beyond excellent, but this is the best one I’ve had short of the two-ounce pour I once got of Bourbon County Rare. The coffee and bourbon are in perfect balance. It’s boozy for sure, but I’ve had stouts that tasted much hotter at 9% than this one does at 13.4%, and aging really mellows it out.

So, my company was also sold earlier this week, compounding some stress. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, and it might actually be really good, but it has led to a really weird vibe around my office, and people starting to wonder if we are going to be visited by “Efficiency Experts” in the near future.
