NFL Notes: The Patriots released kicker Stephen Gostkowski on Monday, after 14 years on the team. I guess Brady wasn't around to protect him anymore. He was to be a $4.8 million salary cap hit, so the Patriots will likely try to find - or draft - a cheaper option.
